Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco classifies her music as folk-rock and alternative. However, it includes influences like punk, hip-hop and jazz. Ani Difranco is recognized as an icon for feminist music. In 1990, she was among the first to establish her own independent record label. The parents of DiFranco, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were both attending. Both her parents were both from Montreal from Montreal. 32 Flavors is a song that was written by that was performed and written by Ani DiFranco. Ani DiFranco rose to icon status as a singer/songwriter and punk/folk at the age 25, both among the public and critics, when she released Not A Pretty Girl.
