Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. The infectious electronic music of Ellie Goulding quickly propelled her to the top charts once she drew the attention of people in the year 2010. She was able to do this with the singles "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses". Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is at the top, like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of contemporary mainstream music, and independent, arty pop. Her soprano and her knack for writing emotionally honest songs are what make her stand out. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a big contract. Her debut album was scheduled for release.
